A destination in Uganda
Uganda's most remote park and the one most travellers regret missing.
Kidepo sits in the northeastern corner of Uganda, hard against the borders of South Sudan and Kenya. It is the country's most remote park and, by most measures, its most beautiful: open Karamojong savannah, the Narus and Kidepo valleys and a wildlife density that rivals the Serengeti without the crowds. We fly travellers in by light aircraft from Entebbe.
Cheetah, ostrich, the patas monkey and over 470 bird species. Lion, elephant, buffalo, zebra and giraffe in the valley floors. The light here is unlike anywhere else in Uganda.
We build in time with Karamojong communities and, for travellers who want it, a serious walk up Mount Morungole to spend time with Ik community hosts. Both encounters are arranged hand in hand with local custodians and approached with care and respect.
How we plan time here, who hosts you and which community visits we include is shaped by our approach to conservation and community impact.
